About the speaker:
An aerospace engineer by training, Dr.Murtugudde had a brief stint at NASA-GSFC before becoming a faculty at the University of Maryland. He applied his expertise to climate modeling including climate impacts. As a renowned Earth System scientist, Dr. Murtugudde focuses on Earth System Modeling and Predictions, Climate Impacts, Climate Communications, and the role of oceans in climate variability and change. His YouTube channel “Murtugudde Climate Academy” educates the scientific community and the common people on climate science, climate change impacts, and solutions by advancing the scientific understanding of people’s perception and concerns towards climate change-induced risks.
